A Ceremony of Carols

The first half of our concert will be devoted to Benjamin Britten’s Ceremony of Carols. Composed in 1942, this Christmas choral piece is one of Britten’s best-known works. We are delighted to be featuring professional Harpist Maxine Molin to accompany the piece.

After some festive refreshments, the second half of the concert will be a traditional selection of Christmas carols and songs, from the uproarious Wolfgang’s Christmas Canon to the sublime and gentle Il Est Né.

And of course, it wouldn’t be a UHC Christmas Concert without a huge game of pass the parcel!
